Summer Moods

This morning the mood was grim: Rosie was turned away from the big slide at Waterworld because she was too short (and all the other girls were tall enough…) This afternoon, the mood was back to chill as she colored in Nana’s garage. 😎 

Birthday Sleep-in Party

For Reagan’s birthday gift from Rosie, she decided to throw her a non-sleepover party with pizza and a new movie! The girls had lots of fun in their sleeping bags (some of which were retro chic!)

Botanical Gardens Playground

The Botanical Gardens at Nana’s got a recent makeover, which included the addition of a cool new playground! The girls has fun swinging, sliding, and climbing. 

Cousins and Cupcakes

Rosie and cousins helped Mommy celebrate her birthday today. Lots of giggles and singing, plus a few cupcakes! 

Let the Summer Fun Begin

Rosie’s at Nana’s and reunited with her BFF girl cousins! Of course, Waterworld was first on her summer bucket list. 

End of School Beach Party

Today was the very last day of school, and Rosie’s school threw a huge beach party! It was SO.MUCH.FUN. Mommy can’t even think of the fact that this is her very first last day without tearing up and thinking of what a wonderful year she has had. She’s really lucked out with the best teachers AND the best friends!! 

Last Day Pics and Swimming

Tomorrow is technically the LAST day of school, but since it’s a beach party, Mommy decided to take pics today. And, Rosie is rocking at swimming as usual!

Podcasts

Rosie has been really enjoying listening to podcasts lately. She (and Mommy!) are actually learning quite a lot by listening to science podcasts. She now pretends to host her own podcasts; that is, when she’s not pretending to be a dog (Gidgey), a cat (Treasure Cake Candle Sapphire), or a dolphin (Rose.) And today after school, she got to play at the park! 

Cancellation

Rosie was already on her way to swim lessons today when we found out the pool was closed because of thunder and the impending storm. So, she and Mommy made a different stop…

The World is Beautiful

Today, while in the car listening to Mother Gothel sing to Rapunzel about how terrible the world outside of her tower is, Rosie said, “Mommy, Mother Gothel is tricking Rapunzel because, actually, the world is beautiful!” She speaks the truth. ❤️
